After months of preparation, the release of KJSEA results brings one big question: which Senior School has my child been placed in?
Checking Grade 10 placement is straightforward once the Ministry of Education officially releases the results. This guide covers both official methods and what to do if something goes wrong.
⚡ The short answer
Once the Ministry opens placement, you can check it two ways: by SMS (send the KJSEA assessment number to the official short code) or through the official online portal. Both return the assigned school, pathway and reporting details. Only ever use channels announced by the Ministry or KNEC.
When Are Results Released?
After KJSEA is marked, the Ministry places learners into Senior Schools using assessment performance, the chosen pathway and the spaces available in each school. It then announces when parents can begin checking. Rely on the Ministry of Education and KNEC, not on social media.
Two Ways to Check Placement
Both official methods return the same core information, so use whichever is easier for you.
