Terms of Service

By creating an account or using any part of the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or have obtained verified parental or guardian consent if younger), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them together with our Privacy Policy.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of a school or institution, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

To access most features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain and promptly update your account information.
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with others.
• Notify us immediately at support@revision-base.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

You may use the Platform only for lawful educational purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any content from the Platform without our prior written permission.
• Use the Platform to cheat in official examinations or engage in academic dishonesty.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the Platform.
• Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful code into the Platform.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access, collect, or index content from the Platform without our express consent.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users of the Platform.
• Use the Platform in any way that could disable, damage, or impair its operation.

All content on the Platform — including but not limited to revision notes, exam questions, mock papers, mark schemes, lesson plans, text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Revision Base or its content licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform content solely for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. This licence does not permit you to reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent.

If you believe any content on the Platform infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at support@revision-base.com with details of the alleged infringement.

Certain features of the Platform are available only through a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay all applicable fees as described on the Pricing page at the time of your purchase.

Billing: Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method automatically at the start of each billing period.

Free Tier: We offer a free tier with limited access. We reserve the right to modify the features included in the free tier at any time.

Refunds: We offer a 7-day refund from the date of initial subscription purchase if you are not satisfied with the service. After this period, all fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. To request a refund, contact support@revision-base.com.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.

Where the Platform permits you to submit content (such as feedback, notes, or comments), you retain ownership of that content but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, display, reproduce, and adapt it solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.

You are solely responsible for any content you submit and warrant that it does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any applicable laws.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully to understand our practices.

The Platform and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

While we strive to ensure the accuracy and currency of all content, we do not guarantee that revision notes, exam questions, or mark schemes are free from errors or fully reflect the latest exam board specifications. Students should always verify content against official exam board publications.

We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes. Success in examinations depends on many factors beyond the use of our Platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Revision Base and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue, profits, or opportunities — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@revision-base.com or through account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Platform.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
